The boundary on this page is the City of Burnaby’s Metrotown community plan area. It is the area the City uses for that community plan. It is not an MLS neighbourhood, not a school catchment, not a postal area, and not a Statistics Canada geography. A building people call Metrotown can sit outside this line. A building inside this line can have a different catchment school or a different marketing name.

The City plans Metrotown for higher-density housing in an urban setting. In a real search, that usually means a strata apartment in a mid-rise or a tower. Townhouses appear less often. A detached house is the exception, and only where that house still stands inside the plan area. Read the form on the listing itself. This paragraph is not a count of buildings.
The decision sits in the building. Parking, storage, and a locker are assignments on the strata plan, not details a photo can settle. An older building and a newer tower raise different document questions. Age on its own is not a verdict.
